GPUs

A few words about GPUs (mp-linux)

GPU-capable Linux VMs are available and can be accessed by members of the machine-protection-studies-users e-group. The configuration of these machines is described here. Two general purpose Linux VMs with GPU can be accessed (see here).

Dedicated VMs can be requested by users with specific requirements. Additionnally, more information on the different GPU types available can be found on this documentation page. If other types of GPU than the ones available on the existing VMs are required, please open a support request.

The CUDA drivers are installed and no user intervention is needed on that side. See here for administrator information on that subject.

Python environment for GPU-accelerated tasks

conda is available and can be used to create a Python environment using, for example, pytorch.
